Each year, 200 runners brave the cold, glaciers and trails of Nepal's Khumbu massif to meet at Everest Base Camp (5300m) and take part in the world's highest marathon.
Gabriel, Mathieu and Elyar, 3 childhood friends and office workers from Paris and London, take on the challenge of running and finishing this high-altitude race despite their relative inexperience in trail running.
The film follows them as they prepare, trek 11 days to base camp and race on D-Day, alongside testimonials from athletes from around the world and interviews with the organisers of this legendary event.

Norway Action Film Festival er en ny festival dedikert til alle som elsker action- og eventyrfilmer. Det er en flott mulighet til å møte mennesker, dele ideer og erfaringer og nyte kunsten og kjærligheten til filmvisning. Men mest av alt er det et samfunnsfokusert arrangement til støtte for uavhengige filmskapere, både lokalt og i utlandet.
Norway Action Film Festival is a new festival dedicated to everyone who loves action and adventure films. It is a great opportunity to meet people , share ideas & experiences, and enjoy the art and love of movie-watching. Most of all, it is a community-focused event in support of independent filmmakers, both local and abroad.

Shane Lucas, et tidligere Yakuza-medlem og 4. grads svart belte i Judo, blir jaktet på sin lokale dojo i Los Angeles 1985 av sin mangeårige rival, Elias Da Rosa og hans besetningsmedlemmer fra samme kriminalitetsfamilie. Regissøren forsøker å forstå sin morfar, avdøde kaptein Goth (1893-1966). I prosessen måtte han gjenskape skipet som var kapteinens liv og store kjærlighet. Gjennom intervjuer med de gjenværende barna hans, minner fra hans gamle skipskiste, bilder og arkivmateriale blandet med håndtegnede animasjoner, skildrer filmen en turbulent tid i verdenshistorien gjennom en mann som er villig til å trosse ubåter, miner, bombing og skipsvrak for å tjene Gud , Konge og land. Men etter 50 år til sjøs er den nye verden ikke lenger i samsvar med kapteinens regler, og hjertet hans er ikke så sta som hans vilje. Han kan holde verden og dens kriger i sjakk, men han kan ikke kontrollere familien sin og deres ønske om frihet. The director sets out to understand his maternal grandfather, the late Captain Goth (1893-1966). In the process, he had to recreate the ship that was the Captain’s life and great love. Through interviews with his remaining children, mementoes from his old ships chest, photos and archival material mixed with hand-drawn animations, the film depicts a turbulent time in world history through a man willing to defy submarines, mines, bombing and shipwrecks to serve God, King and country. But after 50 years at sea, the new world no longer accords with the Captain's rules, and his heart is not as stubborn as his will. He can keep the world and its wars at bay, but he cannot control his family and their desire for freedom. Nor can he submit to the new world that has arisen from the ashes of the old. Seventeen years in the making, acclaimed storyboard artist and painter Simon Bang in his first feature documentary digs into a painful family story spanning two world wars and a life at sea.

Vi er 4 ingeniørstudenter som kommer tilbake fra en ekstraordinær 5-måneders ekspedisjon!
I mars 2022 dro vi fra Lorient med Kahuna, en elektrisk seilbåt, for å sykle i bakkene til Norge og Svalbard. Forsterket av permanent polarlys gjennomførte teamet 40 fjellturer, inkludert en første nedstigning av nordsiden av Storelenangstinden. Kahuna er en hjemmelaget ekspedisjon. Klokken 22 og 23 bestemte vi oss for å gjøre alt selv: skiløpere, seilere, kameramenn, redigering. I en lett og ungdommelig tone forteller denne filmen om et arktisk eventyr like krevende som det er inspirerende.

Boosted by permanent polar light, the team completed 40 mountain trips, including a first descent of the north face of Storelenangstinden.
Kahuna is a homemade expedition. At 22 and 23, we decided to do everything ourselves:
skiers, sailors, cameramen, editing...
In a light and youthful tone, this film recounts an arctic adventure as demanding as it is inspiring.
